While pondering imagery for Ape City Escape, I thought of going with a classic “pulp magazine cover” style for the artwork. (Not that I’m in a position to be commissioning anything yet, but it’s good to think these things through.) …Which is how I ended up spending my morning falling down a rabbit hole of manly men, jungle women, and the apes that want them dead.
